New project

For longer work with an end date, like a readout, a launch, or a class. Mirai Map shows whether you're on track.

Import a tracker from a spreadsheet

Works with Google Sheets or Excel. Everything stays in this browser, and nothing is uploaded. Importing the same sheet again updates what changed instead of making copies.

Timer

Away detection
Chrome's idle detection. Sleep and lock are always caught.

Quiet hours (no pop-ups; Mirai Map decides safely and asks you later): work is quiet outside the workday above and on weekends. Personal is quiet overnight:

Notifications

Desktop pop-ups
Keep the Mirai Map tab open (pin it). Urgent items pop up; everything else waits for the morning digest.

Distraction check
A small Chrome add-on. While a timer runs, it notices when you drift to a site like YouTube and nudges you back after a minute, with “Back to it” or “Taking a break.” It only uses site names, which never leave your computer. Install steps are in the README, section 12.

Connections

Google Calendar

See today's meetings in Mirai Map, get a quick “did anything change?” check after each meeting, and block time for tasks.

Status

How to get your link (one time, about 5 minutes)

This gives Mirai Map its own link to your calendar. It runs under your Google account, never signs out, and checks for changes every few minutes.

  1. Make sure Chrome is signed in to the Google account whose calendar you want (personal for Personal, work for Work). Then click open a new Apps Script project.
  2. Click . In Apps Script, select all the sample code, paste over it, and click the Save icon.
  3. Click Deploy → New deployment. Click the gear icon and pick Web app.
  4. Set Execute as: Me and Who has access: Anyone. Click Deploy.
  5. Click Authorize access and pick your account. Google warns the app isn't verified because you made it: click Advanced → Go to project → Allow.
  6. Click the Web app URL. The page that opens shows your Mirai Map calendar link.
  7. Copy the whole link, paste it above, and click Connect.

Use the same link on every device. Keep it private: anyone with it can see today's meetings.

Other way: sign in with Google (asks again a few times a day)
  1. At console.cloud.google.com, create a project named Mirai Map and enable the Google Calendar API.
  2. In Google Auth Platform, set it up as External and add your Gmail as a Test user.
  3. Under Clients, create a Web application client with https://mymiraimap.com as an authorized JavaScript origin.
  4. Paste the Client ID here, then click Sign in with Google.

Sync with Google Sheets (optional)

Your data saves in this browser. Connect a Google Sheet if you want the same tasks on several devices, or to share. Use a different Sheet for Work and for Personal.

How to set it up (one time, about 10 minutes)
  1. Make sure Chrome is signed in to the right Google account (personal for Personal, work for Work). Then click make a new Google Sheet. Name it “Mirai Map Work sync”. Leave it empty: Mirai Map adds its own tabs.
  2. In the Sheet, click Extensions → Apps Script.
  3. Click . In Apps Script, select all the sample code, paste over it, and click Save. Your secret key is already in it, and below.
  4. Click Deploy → New deployment → gear icon → Web app. Set Execute as: Me and Who has access: Anyone. Click Deploy.
  5. Click Authorize access, pick your account, then Advanced → Go to project (unsafe) → Allow. It says “unsafe” only because you made it yourself.
  6. Copy the Web app URL, paste it below, and click Connect.

Sharing

Let colleagues or a manager see your Mirai Map. There’s one view-only link you can pass around freely. Edit links are one per person, so every change is saved with their name and time (see Past → Activity). You can turn any link off at any time.

Sharing needs Sync with Google Sheets (above), because your data otherwise lives only in this browser.

View-only link · one link for anyone, can’t change anything

Edit links · one per person, so edits are logged with their name

Smart breakdown (AI)

Uses Claude to split what you type or say into subtasks with times. Pay-as-you-go through your own key; a capture costs a fraction of a cent. What you capture is sent to Anthropic's API, so keep confidential details out of work tasks.
